Brightbook Privacy

Information collected

Your personal information is collected from our site in various ways. Through the enquiry forms, the registration forms and also automatically (with cookies) when you visit the site.

We keep your personal information for the purposes of keeping in contact with you. We will not share your information with anyone unless required by law.

Your data.

Is that. It’s yours. You can come and go as you choose, with your data. You’re not limited or restricted in any way.

What are cookies?

Not biscuits. Cookies are small pieces of information that are automatically sent to your computer and identify your browser to us. Depending on what your Internet settings are you may or may not know when this is happening. You can change you settings of your browser to reject all, accept all or notify you when a cookie is sent.

Links

You may find some links to other sites on our website. These sites may have their own privacy policy and are responsible for their own sites and how your data is used on them. We recommend that you are mindful of who you provide your personal details to online, anywhere.

Changes

We will update this Privacy Policy over time. If and when we make those changes we’ll let you know what those changes are – how your information is used, under what circumstances and to whom we share it with.

Brightbook Security

Brightbook is a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider. We take your security seriously and we do everything we can to ensure it. If you have any concerns that aren't covered here, please contact us. Below highlights our security:

Several Layers of Security

Brightbook utilizes several layers of security to keep your data safe. Our system requires that all users have a valid email and password to send or retrieve data from the service, and all passwords are stored in a secure, encrypted format. We authenticate each request for data from our service and use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to secure data as it travels from the user's computer to our application. SSL encryption is the same technology that banking and e-commerce sites use to secure data like your credit card number or bank account details.

Monitoring

Each of Brightbook's servers is governed by a strict security policy, and are continuously monitored for violation attempts. Data is replicated to a fail-over slave database, and remote back-ups are preformed securely each night.

We Collect Limited Information

A big part of what makes Brightbook secure comes from our privacy policy. We do not capture any information unwillingly, and we provide many levels of protection for the amount of private data you want us to be able to collect, as well as expose all data on the client computer in a human readable format to let you examine the data we are sending to our service.

Do I own the data I'm sending to Brightbook?

Yes, your data is your own. We provide you the ability to delete any and all of your data at any time. You can even export their data into a portable format for external use.

Except when otherwise stated in writing the copyright holders and/or other parties provide the program "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you.

Limitation of Liability

In no event unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing will any copyright holder, or any other party who conveys the program as permitted above, be liable to you for damages, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use Brightbook (including but not limited to loss of data or data being rendered inaccurate or losses sustained by you or third parties or a failure of the program to operate with any other programs), even if such holder or other party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Interpretation of Warrenty & Liability Section

If the disclaimer of warranty and limitation of liability provided above cannot be given local legal effect according to their terms, reviewing courts shall apply local law that most closely approximates an absolute waiver of all civil liability in connection with the program, unless a warranty or assumption of liability accompanies a copy of the program in return for a fee.
